Qatar Airways is set to showcase its innovative Sama 2.0, the groundbreaking AI-powered humanoid cabin crew, at the annual exhibition hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 6 to 9, 2024. The Qatar Airways pavilion in Hall No.2 will be the center stage for this cutting-edge display.
Attendees of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai will have the exclusive opportunity to meet and interact with the second iteration of the world’s first AI-driven cabin crew. Sama 2.0 will engage visitors in real-time conversations, offering assistance in crafting personalized travel experiences, providing destination insights, addressing queries, and sharing support tips, among other interactions.
Furthermore, Qatar Airways patrons will have the chance to virtually engage with Sama 2.0 via the airline’s immersive digital platform, QVerse, or its dedicated mobile application.
This development brings to mind the remarkable journey of Sophia, another humanoid robot, which captured global attention in recent years. Notably, Saudi Arabia made headlines in 2017 by granting citizenship to Sophia, marking a historic milestone in human-robot relations.
