Heritage Christian University Matriculates 509 Students

Heritage Christian University has officially matriculated 509 new students into various undergraduate degree programs for the 2024/2025 academic year. The students, who come from Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Togo, and Cameroon, are enrolled in programs across health sciences, technology, business, communication, psychology, and theology.

In his address, the President of the University, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah, highlighted the special significance of this year’s matriculation as it coincides with the university’s 10th-anniversary celebration. He emphasized that over the past decade, Heritage Christian University has remained focused on its mission of developing individuals who embody its core values: Conviction, Character, Creativity, Compassion, and Community. Reflecting on the university’s journey so far, he expressed optimism about the future and encouraged the new students to embrace the Heritage community with purpose and vision.

The guest speaker, Professor Gladys Amponsah, speaking on the theme “I Am Because We Are – Thriving Through Networking for Academic and Career Success,”reminded students that success at the university goes beyond attending lectures and passing exams. She emphasized the importance of building meaningful relationships, learning from peers, and seeking mentorship from faculty.

She further encouraged students to actively engage in university life and start preparing for their careers by networking, seeking internships, and connecting with alumni. According to her, the relationships built at Heritage could open doors in the professional world and serve as lasting sources of support and growth.

The new students were admitted into the following undergraduate programs: BSc. Nursing, BSc. Midwifery, BSc. Information Technology, BSc. Information Security, BSc. Business Information Technology, BSc. Multimedia Technology, BBA. Human Resource Management, BBA. Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation, BBA. Logistics and Supply Chain Management, BBA. Accounting, BBA. Accounting with Finance, BBA. Accounting with Computing, BBA. Marketing, BA. Communication Studies, BA. Psychology, Bachelor of Theology and Ministry, and Bachelor of Community Development and Theology.

The matriculation ceremony marked not only the beginning of academic work but also a call to build meaningful relationships, develop one’s character, and embrace the university’s mission of holistic transformation.
